Are you ready for some FOOTBALL????
Football season is finally here and my youngest son couldn't be more excited ( oh, lets not forget the husband)...Jaeden plays for the local Lions Club and DH coaches his team so you know I have to represent...
Using the Cricut magnet material, chocolate brown vinyl, and a tutorial found over on Everday Cricut, I created this super cute... oh excuse me, macho looking football car magnet...
( I didn't add J's number b/c they haven't been issued uniforms)
Anywho, this was my tester so now that I have the technique down its on and popping!!!
I can see more magnets and football shirts in the near future...
excuse the fuzzy pic, its so humid here that my lense fogged up
Supplies Used:
Cricut Gypsy
Sports Mania- Football
Plantin School Book- Font
Cricut magnet material
Cricut chocolate brown vinyl
Blue wallpop vinyl
Deep cut blade housing
BTW, in order to get the white parts that are shown, I first hide them on my G, and cut only the outline of the football using the deep cut blade, press load mat and replace the blade with the regular blade housing. Hide the football outline and show the white parts, cut with your settings on 3,3,3 ( this will cut the vinyl but not through the magnet). Weed and apply your wording ( I used transfer tape for this step).

WOW, I really love your football!! I also commented on it on the cricut site. When I came to your blog I signed up to follow it and I noticed that I became your 100th follower!!! I thought that was pretty cool! I am curious about the white part on the football, did you use regular vinyl to layer it on?? Thanks so much for sharing this - it's a wonderful project!
Hi QueenBee,
Whoo-Hoo, I reached 100!!!! Thanks for becoming a follower, I will be offering blog-candy so be on the lookout...
Anywho, thanks for the compliment, the magnet was quite easy, I used the following tut as a guide http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DgVNI_FqNmg ; however, I altered just a bit. For the white parts, I hide them on my Gypsy for the first cut and just cut the football outline using the deep cut blade, I pressed load mat and put back in the reg. blade housing, hide the fooball outline and unhide the white parts and cut on 3,3,3 ( this allowed me to cut the vinyl and not through the magnet). I then applied the wording using transfer tape. It was actually really easy...
Great cut...I haven't done anything for the car yet, but would like to and you do things for pocketbooks to and scrapbooks...you have quite a variety. I will be opening back up all my files on the Friday before Labor Day all that weekend...so please check back. I enjoyed checking out your blog. Without you leaving me a comment, I would had never found yours.

Nubian, I was so excited to see your comment on my htv monster shirt. I already wrote my posting for tomorrow and I talked about your incredible goofy htv shirt. I hope you don't mind. I linked back to Platinum Scraps because that was where I found the pictures. I think I'll edit and add your personal blog also. Thank you for following me.
