Altered Lunchbox Tin

Using Okie's cut file, I altered this cute little Dollar Tree Tin... so quick and easy and it holds just the right amount of goodies. This tin was a Secret Santa Gift for one of my Sista's over on the Cricut MB...  I used a Prima Flower and Storybook for the embellishments.

Acrylic Post-it note holder and Design a Mug

This year for the Holidays, I decided to give each of my kids teacher a "custom" Acrylic post-it note holder with pen and a "custom" designed coffee tumbler. This project was really quick, easy and inexpensive to make using the tutorial from Split Coast Stamper http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/acrylic_post_ittrade_note_holder/
I purchased the acrylic picture frames (5x7) and the design a mug from the Dollar Tree, the pens are Pentel RSVP from Staples. The PP is from My Mind's Eye- For Storytellers & Phototakers stack, ribbon is Stampin Up. I used Indie Art for the butterfly and SCAL for the scalloped circle and monogram.
BTW, this stack is FILLED with beautiful glitter pages...

Let it snow!!!

I'm so excited... my two daughters are officially papercrafters... Craftyminds over on the Cricut message board is hosting a 12 and under Christmas card swap. I thought this would be a great opportunity for the girls to learn more about papercrafting and recieve some cool cards from other kids... Initally Trinity only wanted to do the swap; however Ciara joined in on the fun while making this card. Here is the 1st. of 5 cards that Trinity signed up to make. They only needed my help with ripping the paper for the snow and showing them how to properly use my acrylic stamping block. I'm so excited, now I have  live in craft partners!!!

The girls really did an awesome job, they used MS glitter, stickles, pop dots, and stamps.

Spend my Life

This month the http://SistasScrapToo.blogspot.com/  hosted a "Sista Challenge A Sista" Challenge...
Leialoha issued me the following challenge:
Create a Layout using
- 3  black and white photos
- 3 words for your title
- 3 monochromatic embellishments. Yes, that's right, your embellishments (and you must use at least three) must be the same color.
For this challenge I used my wedding photos and wedding colors as inspiration...
The journaling is words from the song "Spend My Life by Eric Benet & Tamia which was sung at our wedding.

Our wedding colors were Dark Blue, Carolina Blue (Go Heels) & Silver... I used the dark blue as my monochromatic color, light blue and silver as my photo mat and accent colors. My embellishments were ribbon, prima flowers, brads, and a chipboard flourish (Home Decor)... Glimmer Mist was used to make the colors coordinate.

Spook-Tacular...

One of this month's challenges over on the http://sistasscraptoo.blogspot.com/ was to create a
Fall or Halloween Layout... Here is my take on the challenge, although I still need to add a picture I think it turned out pretty nice...

Haunted House opens for a picture...

I used SCAL for all the cuts on this Layout

Scrap Corner

I don't have my own scrap room YET... I occupy a corner of our TV/Game Room... soooo when Michaels had their craft storage on sale for 50% off I took advantage and invested in a few Jetmax storage cubes ( 9 to be exact:-). The cubes were surprisingly easy to assemble and even easier to load with all my supplies...
Now that everything has its' own place, scrapping is so much easier and I spend less time looking for things.

was to create a

Fun with Everyday Paper Dolls...

After being enabled by the wonderful women over on the Sista's thread of the Cricut Message Board, I gave in and purchased the Every Day Paper Doll cart (thanks ladies)... the girls and I had fun this afternoon creating a few dolls, 3 to be exact. I was a little intimidated about creating the faces on the dolls but I think that we did a pretty good job on making them look cute:-). Okay... my 7 year old son was a little jealous of all the fun, so I made him a little football doll (he's currently on the injured reserve list)
